Made of a marine grade of wood, and sealed on the outside with high tech finishes, the Epoch can ease your worries of travelling with your violin. The neck is not glued into the body (!) - a metal rod transfers the tension of the strings to the endbutton, leaving the top and back (which are flat!) to vibrate freely. Just like the medieval Welsh crwth, one foot of the bridge extends through a hole in the top, to rest on the back, acting like a soundpost. A unique combination of old and new technology.
Tone through an amplifier is wonderful! If you want to have acoustic-like sound (with none of that piezo harshness), yet have no feedback or travel worries - this is for you! Bridges are interchangeable, so you can switch between curvatures or string heights easily.
Parts are easily interchanged if yours suffers a mishap (try putting a new neck on your present violin in under 10 minutes!).
